Divin \u201cSurprise\u201d 10 y.o. took a gold medal at the International competition Spirits Selection by Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, held in Tequila City (Mexico) from August 24 to 26. It should be noted that 1150 strong drinks from 48 countries participated in this contest.<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

The Tiraspol Winery & Distillery KVINT was the only participant from Moldova, who represented our country in this event, as well as in two other competitions, mentioned below. \u00a0Totally, they awarded 24 grand gold medals, 186 gold medals and 157 silver ones at the Spirits Selection by Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.<\/p>\n

At the same time, on August 24\/25, there was another tasting competition held in New York City \u2013 the New York World Wine and Spirits Competition 2016 \u2013 where two of KVINT drinks, a dry Sauvignon Blanc 2015 under the brand Electio and a 3-year-old divin KVINT both took silver medals in their respective categories.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t the first time that KVINT participated in such contests on the American continent. Earlier, in March of this year, a 6-year-old divin Kvint was also among prizewinners of the San Francisco World Spirits Competition` 2016, where it took a silver medal. It was competing there with 1899 rivals from the whole world. The results of that competition were published in May edition of the American monthly \u201cThe Tasting Panel Magazine\u201d, which dedicated the whole page to the silver medal winner from Moldova.<\/p>\n

I was intrigued by that publication. Commenting on that matter, Tatyana Kolisnichenko, the Chief of the Sales Department of KVINT, reported that the company regularly takes part in various prestigious wine and spirits competitions to prove the highest quality of its products to customers throughout the world.<\/p>\n

– These days we supply our products to 28 countries, and we take every effort to familiarize our customers with the latest accomplishments of our company. For this purpose we use different mass media, including The Tasting Panel Magazine (USA). Unfortunately, this is a commercial publication, so we cannot get published there for free.<\/p>\n

Indeed, the prizes of the San Francisco World Spirits Competition are important for the business, although they do not directly affect the sales growth on the US market, they may have an impact on decision-making when American companies consider possible cooperation with us. \u00a0It is very important for the US importers to have a proof of high quality, an independent and unbiased assessment, especially when it comes from the trustworthy competition in their country.<\/p>\n

Currently the Tiraspol Winery& Distillery \u00abKVINT\u00bb sells its products to five companies in the USA (the most recent contract was signed this summer), including one company operating in tax-free and duty-free sector. Apart from participation in competitions in the USA, every year the company jointly with their distributors partakes in different shows and fairs, which quite often leads to new contacts, – Tatyana Kolisnichenko said.<\/p>\n

P.S. \u00a0When the final draft of this article was at the editor\u2019s desk, breaking news came from Neustadt, the host city of the major German competition \u00a0“Mundus Vini 2016\u201d, where KVINT\u2019s white wine Irshai Oliver, 2015 (VinVoyage series) \u00a0was awarded with a silver medal. 4300 wines from 38 countries were competing in this contest, held on September 1 to 4.<\/strong><\/p>\n
