Moldova launches its first specialized voice AI sommelier, created specifically for Moldovan wine.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Moldovan IT company Kando Connect<\/strong> announces the official launch of the beta version of WINE AI<\/strong>, a specialized voice AI sommelier created specifically for Moldovan wine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the first time in Moldova, a specialized voice AI sommelier has been developed that knows Moldovan wines, wineries, local grape varieties and producers, and can talk about them in multiple languages.<\/strong> WINE AI has been designed specifically for Moldova\u2019s wine industry and is built around its own specialized knowledge base. The project is launched with the informational support of WineMD<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The idea behind WINE AI can be summed up in one phrase: \u201cMoldovan wine has found its voice.\u201d <\/strong>Users can simply talk to the AI sommelier and ask what they should try on their first visit to Moldova, which wine to choose for dinner, how local grape varieties differ, what a particular winery produces, or why a certain wine might suit their preferences. They can ask follow-up questions, refine their preferences, switch languages during the conversation and continue speaking naturally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An AI that knows Moldovan wine<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

General-purpose AI systems know an enormous amount about the world, but Moldovan wine is only one topic among millions. Information about particular wines, smaller wineries and local product ranges can be incomplete, outdated or gathered from sources of varying quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WINE AI is built around a specialized knowledge base dedicated to Moldovan wine<\/strong>. It contains information about wines and producers, local grape varieties, wine regions, wine characteristics and verified materials. When a user asks a question, WINE AI can first consult this specialized knowledge base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead of typing a conventional search query, a visitor can simply say: \u201cRecommend a good Moldovan red wine to go with steak.\u201d And then continue:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A digital gift for National Wine Day<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The launch of WINE AI has been timed to coincide with Moldova\u2019s National Wine Day<\/strong>. The team behind the project sees it as a digital gift for both Moldovans and visitors to the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During Moldova\u2019s main wine celebration, visitors arrive from many different countries. For many of them, wine becomes one of their first encounters with Moldova. Yet unfamiliar labels, indigenous grape varieties and dozens of local producers can be difficult to navigate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With WINE AI, visitors can simply start speaking in their own language. The system uses modern multilingual voice AI models and can communicate in many languages, including Romanian, Russian, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, Ukrainian, Turkish, Chinese, Japanese and Korean<\/strong>, as well as other languages supported by the underlying voice model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Languages can also be switched during the conversation. A Japanese visitor, for example, can begin in Japanese, continue in English and then say: \u201cNow explain this to my friend in Romanian.\u201d WINE AI can continue the conversation in Romanian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A visitor from China can ask questions in Chinese while another person nearby can ask the system to repeat the recommendation in English. This makes the technology particularly relevant for international wine tourism, where visitors should be able to discover a local product without first having to overcome a language barrier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Helping international visitors discover Moldova<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of WINE AI\u2019s main goals is to make Moldovan wine easier for international visitors to discover. Names such as Feteasc\u0103 Neagr\u0103 and those of local wineries may be familiar to Moldovans. For a first-time visitor, however, a shelf filled with unfamiliar labels, varieties and producers can be difficult to understand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A visitor can simply ask: \u201cI’m visiting Moldova for the first time. I like dry red wine. What should I try?\u201d Or ask the same question in their native language. The AI can clarify the visitor\u2019s preferences, suggest suitable options, explain a local grape variety or winery and answer follow-up questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This gives Moldovan producers another way to introduce their wines to international audiences. The story of a local variety, a small winery or a particular bottle can be told directly in the visitor\u2019s own language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
